我們所知到常用的水泥有硅酸鹽水泥、普通硅酸鹽水泥(簡稱普通水泥)、礦渣硅酸鹽水泥(簡稱礦渣水泥)、火山灰質(zhì)硅酸鹽水泥(簡稱火山灰質(zhì)水泥)、粉煤灰硅酸鹽水泥(簡稱粉煤灰水泥)。此外.還有特殊功能的水泥，如高強(qiáng)、快硬、耐酸、耐熱、耐膨脹等不同性質(zhì)的水泥以及裝飾用的白水泥（貴陽白水泥）等。

水泥強(qiáng)度等級:水泥強(qiáng)度等級按規(guī)定齡期的抗壓強(qiáng)度和抗折強(qiáng)度來劃分，以28夭齡期抗壓強(qiáng)度為主要依據(jù)。根據(jù)水泥強(qiáng)度等級，將水泥分為32.5,32. 5R, 42. 5,42. 5R,52.5, 52.5R, 62.5. 62.5R等幾種。

水泥的保管:水泥屬于水硬材料，必須妥善保管，不得淋雨受潮。貯存時間一般不宜超過3個月。超過3個月的水泥(快硬硅酸鹽水泥為1個月)，必須重新取樣送檢，待確定標(biāo)號后再使用.
